About 15 minutes after Team Slovakia practiced for their first round-robin game in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey, Peter Stastny, a veteran of 15 NHL seasons and honoured Hockey Hall of Fame member, is holding court outside the club's dressing room in Montreal's Bell Centre.
